Covid-19

The health, safety, and well-being of the children in our care, our dedicated staff, and our wider community remain our absolute top priority. While the landscape of the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved significantly, we continue to maintain robust measures and vigilant practices to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone in our homes.

Our staff are tested regularly and we will continue to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to help prevent and reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Supporting Our Children’s Well-being

Beyond physical health, we recognise the importance of emotional and mental well-being, especially during times of public health concern. Our team provides ongoing emotional support, maintains routines, and encourages activities that promote resilience and a sense of normalcy for the children.

Our Ongoing Approach to Health and Safety

We are committed to following the latest guidance from the UK government and public health authorities to protect our children and staff. Our measures include:

  • Vigilant Health Monitoring: We continue to monitor the health of all children and staff closely. Any individual exhibiting symptoms of illness is supported and appropriate isolation measures are taken in line with current health guidance.
  • Enhanced Hygiene Practices: Regular and thorough cleaning protocols remain in place across all our facilities. We continue to promote excellent hand hygiene among children and staff through regular handwashing and the availability of hand sanitiser.
  • Ventilation: We ensure good ventilation in our indoor spaces to minimise the risk of airborne transmission of illnesses.
  • Staff Training and Awareness: Our staff receive ongoing training and updates on best practices for infection control and health management within a residential care setting. They are well-equipped to identify and respond to health concerns.
  • Flexible Visiting Guidelines: While we encourage connection, our visiting guidelines are designed with the health and safety of our children in mind. We ask all visitors to be mindful of any cold or flu-like symptoms and to contact us in advance to discuss arrangements.
  • Staying Informed: We continuously review and adapt our policies and procedures based on the latest scientific understanding and official public health recommendations.

Should you have any questions regarding our current health and safety protocols, please do not hesitate to contact us.
